Tonight was yoga, so I feel stretched, relaxed, focused, centered.  For some, this is an easy, natural place from which to write.  I'm not feeling pressed to say much of anything, though, so I'll observe from over here.

I hope everybody is doing well in this season of heavier travel, hotter weather (in this hemisphere, anyway), and longer, sometimes lazier days.

Listening to some embarrassingly fun Pussycat Dolls (Jai Ho!!!) and enjoying this weird smoothie I made with ice, light chocolate Silk (soy milk), a few Whoppers candies, and *gasp* Fiber One cereal.  It's delicious.  I realized I was out of raw oatmeal and I like a little texture in my smoothies once in a while.  The cereal is perfect.

And now for something completely different...

Thank you, Katelina, for that introduction.

That smoothie sounds different!  Maybe when I'm a little slimmer I can try Yoga.

@butshebites - you don't have to be slim to give yoga a try.

Absolutely. I'm probably the second heaviest person in my yoga class, and I do just fine. I think it helps that our instructor is so focused on doing what's best for "you."

I am jealous.  For years and years I have wanted to try yoga but nothing seems to align quite right so that I can.  But since you're about the third in a string of yoga mentions maybe this means it's coming soon.  Hope so!

I'm glad you're taking good care of yourself, it makes you feel so much better about yourself, doesn't it?

Dear Emily,

I've been sort of on "hiatus" for the last month, while recuperating from elective surgery, so I haven't been actively visiting or commenting. I just went over the list of people who've commented on my blogs during that period, thanking them for their visits and concerns.

Now I'm going over my friends lists and attempting to reconnect with those older readers with whom I have not connected in a while.

6/30: There wouldn't be a Bible without the "fall". It's essential to the story. 7/2: Hope you were able to get your friend to blog here on Xanga. I was introduced to this service from a fellow writer in a Yahoo Poetry group I managed. It was the best thing to ever happen to me on the internet. 7/5: So you can't buy badminton birdies during the summer, eh? Right before I went into the hospital, one of the things on my list of purchases for the recuperation was some loose sweat pants. When I asked why our local Target only seemed to stock sweat shorts, I was told that the pants were "seasonal". I ended up buying pajama sweats!  Current; Nice to be stretched, relaxed, focused, and centered!
